LS : SUPER EAGLES WON THE WORLD CUP WITH LAGERBERG
Likely Scenario caught up with the Team Super Eagles of Nigeria Yesterday and tried to find out the chain of events that caused their woeful performance at the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.
The Team Captain Elder Kanu Nwankwo was kind enough to grant us an interview.
Below is our Likely Scenario for Team Super Eagles of Nigeria.
(The Nigeria Football Federation, NFF Sits down to interview and chose the coach who will take Nigeria to World Cup.)
Mr Samson Siasia, an indigenous coach was the first in line.
NFF : Mr Siasia, could you please tell us how you would select a good team that will represent Nigeria in South Africa and How Much Money your Services will cost us ?
SIASIA : Thank you NFF, I believe the money should not be the issue. I am a Nigerian and have always put this nation ahead of my personal gains. Any amount NFF agrees to pay me will be enough for me. I have a team of active players since 2004. I won the African U20 Nation cup with them, I won silver medal with them at the FIFA U20 World Cup In Holland in 2005, I also won the silver medal at the Beijing Olympic with the same boys . After 2 years, I believe they are more than matured to represent us at the World Cup. All I have to do is to invite them, and invite few more active national players and chose the best from them.

NFF : Mr Lagerberg, could you please tell us how you would select a good team that will represent Nigeria in South Africa and How Much Money your Services will cost us ?
LAGERBERG: Thank you NFF, I ont know the exchange rate but I will take four Million dollars for the three months I am going to work for you. My method of selection is simple. I know the Nigerian Players. I won them at the 2002 World cup with my Swedish team. I know Adepoju, Okocha, Kanu , Rufai and others.
NFF : Mr Lagerberg, Do you think these players will represent Nigeria well at the Mundial ?
LAGERBERG : I believe with the help of a Nigerian assistant, we will also include Yakubu and Kaita. They will do well.
